Farm Credit Services of Mandan’s Board of Directors is comprised of ten members; eight active borrowers that are elected by our cooperative members, and two outside directors appointed by the board.

Directors are responsible for the safe and sound operation of the Association by:

• Providing the strategic direction for the Association
• Overseeing activities performed by management
• Establishing policies that provide safe and sound operations

Director Requirements Include:

• Be a bona fide farmer, rancher, or producer, which includes owning agricultural land or being engaged in the production of agriculture products
• Be a voting stockholder with active loans in good standing
• Meet all regulatory and policy qualifications

Time and Compensation

• Meet approximately 12 days per year
• Serve four-year terms
• Receive compensation quarterly
• Reimbursed for expenses

Director Training

It is a priority of the board to provide high-quality and effective training programs to all directors. Each director is required to take part in annual training to advance their skill level.
