Plan to join is for a free one day risk management workshop on Tuesday, November 7th at the FCS AgriBusiness Center in Mandan.
“Managing Risk in a Volatile Environment” will be our keynote presentation by Moe Russell, founder and marketing consultant with Russell Consulting Group out of Iowa who is still involved in production agriculture in Iowa.
Moe takes a “30,000 foot view of the ag industry, worldwide, the opportunities, challenges and the tremendous potential. He relates our current environment to long term cycles. He then gets to ground zero and explains how farmers can develop easy to use plans to manage their farm business and achieve their profit goals to “bulletproof your balance sheet”.
“Behavior Economics: Decision Making in a Down Market” will also be a keynote presentation by Dr. Raymond Massey from Missouri who is an economist with the Commercial Agriculture Program focusing on the interaction between production agriculture and the environment. Massey has a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Agriculture Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.
