AL KLUIS, Managing Director, Kluis Commodity Advisors
Al has been a commodity advisor and broker since 1976. Al is an introducing broker with Wedbush Futures, and writes a column, Your Profit, which appears in every issue of Successful Farming magazine. Al has published two books on commodities trading, and is commonly quoted in major publications including the Wall Street Journal, and is a featured speaker at commodity conferences nationwide. He is a frequent market analyst for the Linder Farm Radio News Network. Alan, a Minnesota farmboy, was awarded his degree in Ag Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1974, after which he was executive director of the Minnesota Soybean Association before entering the markets full-time. Al’s family still farms in southwest Minnesota.
JACOB BURKS, Hedge Specialist, Kluis Commodity Advisors
Jacob was born and raised in Benton, AR. He earned his BS degree in Agriculture Business from Arkansas Tech University and earned his Masters in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Jacob joined First Capitol Group in 2005 with a passion in price risk management for agriculture producers. He speaks about their Managed Futures Program or tools available to Hedge producers’ agricultural operation.
TYLER SCHAU, Grain/Livestock Market Advisor, Kluis Commodity Advisor
Tyler was born and raised in Central Iowa. He earned his BS degree in Agricultural Economics and his MS degree in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University. Tyler taught Agricultural Economics courses at Iowa Central Community College and Iowa State University before moving to North Dakota in 2009. Tyler currently teaches the Agricultural Economics courses and advises the Farm and Ranch Management students at Bismarck State College. He underscores the importance of cost-based marketing and accurate break-even analysis with his students and now is developing marketing plans with farmers and ranchers through Klu
